The Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) is an internationally renowned body that runs a series of wine tasting courses designed to train people in every area of the wine trade and also to provide a deeper understanding for members of the public who simply love wine. Their courses run in 54 countries and their qualifications are recognised the world over. Erne drinks/enowine is now accredited by the WSET to offer their courses and examinations.
Courses are run by Richard McMahon
- Richard McMahon is a holder of the Diploma in Wines and Spirits from the WSET in the UK.
- He has been the wine buyer for Erne Drinks for the past 6 years.
- He is an approved lecturer for the Wine and Spirit Education Trust and has run courses for them on both sides of the border.
- Richard was for a number of years a wine writer for newspapers and magazines in Northern Ireland.
- Richard has been a judge for the prestigious International Wine Challenge competition, which is run every year.
